Job Description:

Account Executive – New Business & Strategic Growth

Role Overview

This role is built for a high-performing, hunter-minded sales professional driven by net-new acquisition and strategic market expansion. While you will manage and expand a concentrated territory of high-value accounts, your primary focus will be hunting new business, opening target accounts, and leveraging key partner ecosystems to aggressively drive pipeline and revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive Net-New Business: Proactively prospect, qualify, and close new enterprise/commercial accounts across your assigned territory to expand market share.
  • Execute Strategic Account Mapping: Develop and execute outbound go-to-market strategies to penetrate key target accounts and uncover high-value opportunities.
  • Ecosystem & Partner Leveraging: Work closely with key ecosystem, partner, and alliance channels to source new warm leads, build joint pipeline, and accelerate deal cycles.
  • Expand Account Footprint: Identify and close upsell and cross-sell opportunities within newly acquired and existing accounts to maximize customer lifetime value.
  • End-to-End Deal Execution: Lead complex sales cycles from cold outreach and discovery through solution design, contract negotiation, and closing.
  • Cross-Functional Orchestration: Partner with Solution Engineers, Product Specialists, and Marketing to build compelling, value-driven proposals for prospective clients.
  • Pipeline & Forecast Management: Maintain rigor in pipeline generation, opportunity management, and accurate weekly/monthly revenue forecasting.

Minimum Requirements

  • 7+ years of direct sales experience with a proven track record of hunting net-new business and managing enterprise/commercial sales cycles.
  • Demonstrated history of consistently meeting or exceeding quota in a new business/acquisition-focused role.
  • Strong skills in cold prospecting, outbound multi-channel outreach, and partner-led selling.
  • Exceptional negotiation, presentation, and executive-level closing skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong background in the technology, SaaS, or software industry.
  • Proven ability to leverage partner and channel ecosystems to drive co-selling opportunities.
  • Self-starter mindset with strong ownership over territory mapping, prospecting strategy, and pipeline velocity.
