About USASI

United States of America Superintelligence (USASI) is an independent, unofficial catalog of American artificial-intelligence work. It keeps two directories side by side, and gives them equal weight:

• Companies & Labs — U.S. AI companies, laboratories, research units, and foundations, whether their offerings are closed, open, or both. Each record says what the organization documents about itself, what products it offers and how they are delivered, and which open artifacts in this catalog it maintains.
• Open Models & Tools — U.S.-led open models, software, datasets, and evaluation tools. Each record says what is actually public, under which license, who maintains it, and where the original materials live.

Organizations and artifacts are separate records. One organization can maintain many artifacts; an artifact can have several maintainers, or none at all beyond a community project. The comparison workspace sets the two side by side without ranking anyone.

What USASI is not

USASI is not a United States government website and has no affiliation with any government agency or with any organization it lists. It is not an AI laboratory, an investment service, a safety certification, or a ranking of who is closest to "superintelligence." The name describes the subject area the catalog covers, not a claim about any listed system. See the disclaimer for the full statement of limitations.

An evidence-first approach

Every public statement in the catalog is tied to the source that supports it — an official page, a model or dataset card, a repository, a license file, a regulatory filing, or, where needed, clearly attributed reporting. Sources are listed with the date an editor read them. When the evidence is missing, the catalog says Unknown instead of guessing. Candidates that cannot yet be verified stay in an internal review queue and do not appear on the site.

Three kinds of dates are kept apart: the documented release date of an artifact, the date an entry was last substantively edited, and the date its evidence was last reviewed. Rebuilding the website never changes any of them.

The methodology explains eligibility, openness checklists, source standards, and how counts work. The unofficial USASI Compact v0.1 sets out the catalog's voluntary editorial practices.

Open code, open content

The catalog is meant to be inspected, corrected, and forked. Records are plain YAML files validated by a published schema, and the site is a static export that any ordinary web server can host. Corrections and new entries go through the contribution process.

Questions, corrections, and suggestions can be sent to the address below. The profiles listed are USASI's only official accounts; the site links to them but does not embed them, so reading USASI never loads anything from these platforms.

USASI is an independent project with no government, corporate, or institutional sponsor. The owner has not published further ownership details on this page.

• Code written for this project is released under the MIT License.
• Catalog prose written for this project (summaries, explanations, and editorial pages) is released under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0), to the extent the project owner holds the rights to license it.
• Excluded: the site's artwork is separately owned and is not covered by either license. The typefaces (Instrument Sans, Source Serif 4, IBM Plex Mono) are used under the SIL Open Font License 1.1. Names, logos, and trademarks of listed organizations and projects belong to their owners and are used only to identify them. Linked sources remain under their own terms; the catalog links to them rather than reproducing them.
