We are seeking candidates who are excited to work directly with students, and to support them as they practice and develop confidence in their skills. • Advise the student programming board, the Activities Board (AB), which executes a large, yearly slate of concerts, speakers and special events.
  • Advise AB Tech, a student organization offering student-run technical services to campus partners including basic speaker set ups, video streaming, and concert production.
  • Coordinate campus-wide traditions including, but not limited to, THE FAIR, Scotty Saturday, Winter Welcome, Senior Week. Serve as a budget manager for >$50,000 earmarked for these campus traditions.
  • Support the event advisement program through individual event advising in partnership with the Assistant Director and Graduate Assistant.
  • Provide general ad hoc advisory support to our 350+ student organizations on campus.

Adaptability, excellence, and passion are vital qualities within Carnegie Mellon University. We are in search of a team member who can effectively interact with a varied population of internal and external partners at a high level of integrity. We are looking for someone who shares our values and who will support the mission of the university through their work.

Applications must include a cover letter and resume and will be reviewed on a rolling basis. Role is anticipated to end on May 31st, 2027.

You should demonstrate:

  • Proven problem solving and reasoning skills, analytical skills, and oral, written, and interpersonal and intercultural communication skills

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Higher Education and Student Affairs or related field required
