Job Details:

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Software Engineer to join our team developing advanced validation and virtualization solutions used across Intel's product development lifecycle.

  • In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain low-level software solutions, virtual platforms, and validation infrastructure that enable efficient hardware and software verification in both pre-silicon and post-silicon environments.
  • You will be responsible for driving complex technical initiatives, defining software architectures, and solving challenging system-level problems spanning hardware, firmware, and software domains.
  • Beyond technical excellence, this role requires strong leadership and ownership.
  • The successful candidate will be expected to proactively identify challenges and opportunities, drive solutions across organizational boundaries, influence technical direction, and lead projects from concept through deployment.
  • You will collaborate with architects, hardware, firmware, validation, and software teams to align priorities, remove roadblocks, and ensure successful execution of strategic objectives.
  • The ideal candidate combines deep technical expertise, strong system-level vision, excellent debugging skills, and a demonstrated ability to lead, influence, and drive results in a fast-paced engineering environment.

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or an equivalent technical field.
  • At least 5 to 12 years of proven experience in software development, with strong expertise in C++ programming and object-oriented design.
  • Proven experience in embedded software/firmware development, including low-level programming, hardware-software interactions, and system bring-up activities.
  • Extensive experience debugging and resolving complex system-level issues across software, firmware, and hardware components.
  • Strong understanding of software architecture, system design principles, and scalable solution development.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive technical solutions from concept to implementation, with a strong system-level perspective.
  • Experience developing and maintaining complex software systems in Linux-based environments.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience using modern software development practices, automated testing, version control systems, and AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Microsoft Copilot, or similar technologies.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within cross-functional engineering teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proven experience with Simics, virtual platform development, or simulation-based validation environments.
  • Experience with pre-silicon validation, emulation, or hardware modeling solutions.
  • Solid understanding of high-speed and low-speed interfaces and protocols, including PCI Express (PCIe), USB, I2C, SPI, CXL, and related technologies.
  • Experience developing validation infrastructure, tools, or solutions for pre-silicon and post-silicon environments.
  • Familiarity with DML (Device Modeling Language) or device model development.
  • Experience leading technical design discussions and mentoring engineers.
