Job description

SpaceX was founded under the belief that a future where humanity is out exploring the stars is fundamentally more exciting than one where we are not. Today SpaceX is actively developing the technologies to make this possible, with the ultimate goal of enabling human life on Mars.

Enabled by a constellation of low Earth orbit satellites, Starlink will provide fast, reliable internet to populations with little or no connectivity, including those in rural communities and places where existing services are too expensive or unreliable. As a Systems Analyst within the Starlink program you will analyze, develop, and implement tactical and strategic business processes for the supply chain group to create high impact, efficient, economical solutions. Ideal team members are highly autonomous individuals that excel in flexible environments and bring clarity and informed decision-making to our leadership teams that drive the organization.

  • Identify inefficient workflows and develop scripts to automate tactical steps
  • Track, report, and proactively manage production efficiency improvements (e.g. supply chain initiatives and process optimizations)
  • Provide strategic insights and recommendations based on supply chain analysis to optimize both supplier and internal processes
  • Demonstrate innovation, technical excellence, attention to detail, self-direction, and courage
  • Drive for results and customer satisfaction by collaborating with teams, leading projects and continuously spearheading improvements in supply chain
  • Work with stakeholders to analyze the impact of proposed business decisions (including actual performance) on SpaceX’s business health
  • Work with broader application software team to support ERP tools development & supplier-facing portal enhancements

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 1+ years of experience with SQL and business intelligence tools (e.g. Tableau, Power BI, Grafana) or programming softwares
  • 1+ years of experience in analytics, operations, management/strategy consulting, planning, or product management

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Excellent analytical skills (e.g. SQL, Tableau, PowerBI, Microsoft Office suite and similar data manipulation tools)
  • Experience in python and scripting
  • Degree in data science, computer science, industrial and systems engineering, operations or supply chain management
  • Demonstrated success driving tangible impact/influencing within a broader organization, particularly in production or project management contexts
  • Demonstrated experience managing simultaneous projects with tight deadlines and navigating ambiguous problem statements
  • Proficient in understanding end user requirements, the ability to translate requirements into design requirements, and identifying system enhancement opportunities
  • Ability to work both autonomously and as a team in a highly demanding, ambiguous, and fast paced environment
  • Understanding of business concepts relating to supply chain management (procurement, sourcing, material movement/logistics, supplier quality, etc.)

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be able to work extended hours and/or weekends as needed to meet major milestones
  • Up to 25% travel to suppliers and/or other SpaceX locations
