Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International

Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) is a public license published by Creative Commons for material covered by copyright and certain similar rights, including database rights. It lets anyone reproduce and share the material and adapted versions of it, with attribution as the main condition. Creative Commons states on the license page that it "is not a law firm and does not provide legal services or legal advice."1Fact reviewed Oct 8, 2026

These notes restate parts of the license text so you know what to look for. They are not complete, are not legal advice, and do not tell you whether a particular use is allowed. The license text governs.
