Amazon releases ALoDLM-1.7B and ALoDLM-8B diffusion language models for non-commercial research
Amazon has published ALoDLM-1.7B and ALoDLM-8B on Hugging Face, diffusion language models initialized from the corresponding Qwen3 backbones that generate text and code by repeatedly applying shared transformer layers and adaptively allocating computation across token positions. The model card says the weights are released under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 license for non-commercial research, with code in the amazon-science/ALoDLM repository. The accompanying paper, "ALoDLM: Adaptively Looped Diffusion Language Models," was submitted to arXiv on October 3, 2026. USASI has not tested either model.12
