Release
Zyphra releases ZUNA1.1, an open-weight EEG foundation model, under Apache 2.0
Zyphra released ZUNA1.1 on July 16, 2026, according to an update note on its post about the model, which carries an August 3, 2026 dateline. Zyphra describes ZUNA1.1 as a 380M-parameter diffusion autoencoder that reconstructs, denoises, and upsamples scalp-EEG signals, and says it now accepts variable-length inputs from 0.5 to 30 seconds. The weights are on Hugging Face under the Apache 2.0 license, with inference code on GitHub and a zuna pip package. Zyphra's disclaimer says its services are for research use only and have not been validated for any medical or clinical use. USASI has not tested this model.12
